Dr. Ruth Velikovsky Sharon received B.A. and M.A. degrees from New York University and Ph.D from Union Institute & University. She is a graduate of the Center for Modern Psychoanalytic Studies, New York and is certified by the National Accreditation Association for Psychoanalysis. Dr. Sharon and her son, Rafael Sharon, a graduate of Cornell and also a psychoanalyst, co-host a radio show "The Couch". Their practice consists of adults, couples, families and children. Their office is located at 33 Witherspoon Street in Princeton, New Jersey, as well as using the telephone to work with individuals and groups.
"Phone therapy is not so strange an idea if the therapist is more of a Freudian, as I am, although I support anything that helps the patient, as long as it is ethical and moral. People ask, ‘How can you know what people are feeling, over the phone?’ But you do – and the point is, having the patient put everything they feel into words is what psychoanalysis is all about.” – Dr. Ruth Velikovsky Sharon

Radio TalkShow

The Couch
"There are so many talk venues on the radio scene and so few that I really wish to engage my clients to appear on. I really miss the intelligence and humanity of your show. It is a safe place for top celebrities to be visible discussing the human condition, which is the first order of business for an actor..." - Dick Gutman
